ASCI Networking Administration staff provide system, network, and operating system configuration and support to ASCI clients. A Senior Network Administrator provides design and support to provide proper systems configuration, networking, and operations. All network administration personnel must be able to professionally represent ASCI in interactions with clients, from management to end-users, to provide both remote and on-site support.
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or other technical degree, or equivalent experience, 10 years of related work experience including 6+ years networking software experience; or a Masters Degree in a related technical area and 8 years of experience.
Primary responsibilities are Networking and Data Communications; secondary responsibilities are Systems Management. Specific Responsibilities Include: Configure and support networks, and data communications and their associated equipment. Provide diagnostic testing and correction of complex network and data communication issues. Provide senior-level analysis of computer system and networking issues, and provide identification and implementation of “work around,” and final solutions. Provide concept development, research, and evaluation of new hardware and software technologies. Create procedures for use of networking and data communications equipment. Provide remote or on-site support of networking, data communications and systems and equipment. Train ASCI and client staff in use of systems and equipment. Able to lead and manage others to complete multiple projects. Other duties as assigned.
