Provides limited supervision/training of personnel, and assists in providing operational support for computer and peripheral equipment. All data center personnel must be able to professionally represent ASCI in interactions with clients, from management to end-users, to provide both remote and on-site support.
High School diploma, plus 3-5 years of related work experience.
Operates computers and peripheral equipment to ensure proper processing. Executes and logs computer processes performed. Responds to system console messages, as required. Loads computer disks and/or printer paper, as required. Mounts/dismounts tapes and packages tapes to ensure proper storage. Performs preventative maintenance on computers, tape drives, printers, and other peripheral equipment. Respond to user telephone calls concerning data center support issues. Escalates data center issues per ASCI escalation procedures. Performs simple to intermediate diagnostics on computer systems. Able to provide training and supervision of staff. Other duties as assigned.
