Under direction, a Data Center Specialist II assists in providing operational support for computer and peripheral equipment. All data center personnel must be able to professionally represent ASCI in interactions with clients, from management to end-users, to provide support.

High School diploma, plus 1-2 years of related work experience.

Operates computers and peripheral equipment to ensure proper processing. Executes and logs computer processes performed. Responds to system console messages, as required. Loads computer disks and/or printer paper, as required. Mounts/dismounts tapes and packages tapes to ensure proper storage. Performs preventative maintenance on computers, tape drives, printers, and other peripheral equipment. Respond to user telephone calls concerning data center support issues. Escalates data center issues per ASCI escalation procedures. Performs simple diagnostics on computer systems. Other duties as assigned.
