Under direction, a Database Specialist provides database and software configuration, tuning, training, and testing support. All ASCI development personnel must be able to professionally represent ASCI in interactions with clients, from management to end-users, to provide both remote and on-site application develop services and support.

A Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or equivalent experience, and 2-4 years of related work experience.

Effectively interface with all levels of both ASCI and client staff and associates to achieve ASCI's company objectives. Under direction, provide analysis for database setup and configuration. Under direction, create database tables and procedures for loading data. Under direction, provide database analysis, tuning, and testing activities in support of ASCI projects. Document/research design issues with ASCI staff and client staff. Determine status of issues and escalate issues according to established policies and procedures. Be available to provide on-call support via pager, if required. Be available to provide support outside of normal working hours. Other duties as assigned.
