As a part of the ASCI development team, a Database Administrator provides limited database analysis, software configuration, tuning, programming, training, and testing support. All ASCI development personnel must be able to professionally represent ASCI in interactions with clients, from management to end-users, to provide both remote and on-site application develop services and support.
A Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or equivalent experience, and 4-6 years of related work experience, including 2 years of database experience.
Effectively interface with all levels of both ASCI and client staff and associates to achieve ASCI's company objectives. Analyze client database needs and recommend solutions. Provide analysis for database setup and configuration. Create database tables and procedures for loading data. Provide database analysis, tuning, and testing activities in support of ASCI projects. Provide research for escalated database issues. Provide limited supervision of database specialists. Be available to provide on-call support via pager, if required. Be available to provide support outside of normal working hours. Other duties as assigned.
